A “20× wagering” headline can mean $2,000 of qualifying bets in one offer and $4,000 in another. The difference is what the multiplier applies to. Start with that calculation, then check the games, bet limits and deadline. Our Before You Deposit checklist helps put those conditions alongside payment and account checks. Crypto payment support does not remove account checks, provincial rules or conditions attached to rewards.

What Is a Wagering Requirement?

A wagering requirement is the amount of qualifying bets required under a promotion before the associated bonus balance or winnings become eligible for withdrawal. It measures turnover, not profit. Completing turnover does not guarantee that any balance remains, and every bet can lose.

The multiplier is only half the calculation. Read what it applies to: bonus money alone, a deposit plus the bonus, free-spin winnings, or another amount specified in the terms. Two offers with the same multiplier can require very different turnover.

Bonus-Only vs Deposit-Plus-Bonus

Example 1: Bonus-Only Wagering

Hypothetical terms: a $100 bonus with 20× wagering on the bonus only. Required qualifying turnover is $100 × 20 = $2,000. This is an illustration, not an offer available from a listed casino.

Example 2: Deposit and Bonus Wagering

Hypothetical terms: a $100 deposit and $100 bonus with 20× wagering on both. Required qualifying turnover is ($100 + $100) × 20 = $4,000. The same headline multiplier produces twice the turnover in this example.

Neither figure represents a spending budget or maximum possible loss. Do not deposit more or extend play simply to finish a requirement. Check the actual promotion shown for your account and location; rules and permitted multipliers vary.

The small print that changes the calculation

1. The Wagering Base

Find the exact amount multiplied. Free-spin winnings may have a different requirement from a deposit bonus. Ask support for a written calculation if the wording is unclear.

2. Game Contributions

A game may contribute fully, partly or not at all. With a hypothetical 10% contribution, a $10 bet counts as only $1 toward the requirement. A game’s contribution is different from its return-to-player percentage. Some games or providers may also be unavailable in your province.

3. Maximum Bet and Restricted Play

Check the maximum stake while a bonus is active, including whether it is stated in your account currency or a crypto amount. Read any restrictions on game features and betting patterns. Breaching conditions can affect the bonus and associated winnings.

4. Activation and Expiry

Separate the deadline to claim an offer from the deadline to complete wagering. Check the timezone and whether free spins have their own expiry. If the schedule conflicts with your limits, declining the promotion can be the clearer choice.

5. Withdrawal and Cancellation

Read what happens if you request a withdrawal or cancel a bonus before finishing. Determine which balance is forfeited and whether associated winnings are affected. Do not assume a pending withdrawal automatically cancels a reward safely.

6. Caps and Eligibility

Look for maximum conversion or win caps, minimum deposits, excluded payment methods and country restrictions. An advertised maximum may require several deposits or other qualifying activity. It is not a guaranteed cash entitlement.

7. Deposit Wagering Outside the Bonus

An operator may impose deposit play-through conditions even when you decline a bonus. Read payment and withdrawal terms separately. A “no bonus” account does not automatically mean every deposit can be withdrawn immediately without checks or conditions.

Crypto Adds Currency and Network Questions

Confirm the account currency, how a deposit is valued and whether promotional thresholds use fiat or cryptocurrency. Price changes can affect a coin-denominated balance. Fees and exchange rates also influence the amount received, but do not necessarily count toward wagering. Use only the asset and network supported in the cashier.

Keep a copy before accepting

Save the promotion and its dated terms. Write down the base × multiplier calculation, contribution rates, maximum bet, expiry and withdrawal consequences. Confirm account eligibility and provincial authorization separately. If a condition is ambiguous, resolve it before accepting or funding the offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Finishing Wagering Guarantee a Withdrawal?

No. A balance must remain, and identity checks, payment rules, limits and other account conditions can still apply. Wagering completion is one condition, not a payout guarantee.

Is a Lower Multiplier Always Better?

Compare the whole calculation. The wagering base, game contribution, expiry and caps can matter as much as the multiplier. A smaller number on a larger base can require more turnover.

Do Crypto Bonuses Avoid Identity Checks?

No. Payment method and verification requirements are separate. Read the operator’s current identity and withdrawal policies.
